Redefine Gallery has a fun show opening tonight featuring artist Susan Lee. It will feature many fun drawings and illustrations in a series titled “Mr. Smiling”. A good friend to the MTS family, Bad Panda aka Vince Herrera, has moved from Miami to set up Nashville’s first urban contemporary art gallery and he needs our help. Herrera is a huge supporter of Florida artists and plans to showcase some of them in his new gallery. We know its difficult getting a gallery off the ground and he now has the space, he just needs our help to take care of the smaller details such as:

Smiling has always been a way to bring people a sense of happiness and strength. Even when angry or mean people smile their attitudes can change and they can be filled with warmth.
Here is a pretty cool opportunity to take part in a sticker show in Italy. We know there are plenty of sticker artists in Florida, so it would be really awesome to represent our state in another country. Details on how to submit are after the jump.
A sticker show recently took place last week in Miami curated by USVSTHEBUFF at the Hanger Gallery in Wynwood. The show consisted of mostly Miami based artists and over 100 from different parts of the world. This was a sticker show that really showcased the artists in their community. A gathering of veteran and new writers getting along with each other sharing a common bond. The show had everything from stop signs, barricades and trash bins completely covered in stickers! The fast facts alone are enough to slow your roll: 2000 artists, from over 80 countries, creating a 4265 feet long artwork, that will be exhibited in 40 cities, including 2 in the U.S., 1 of which is — you guessed it — Miami.
It’s called the Red Bull Collective Art Exhibit, and this Second Saturday a good portion of the massive project can be seen at GAB Studio. Considering Red Bull’s roarsome wowing comes coincident with another one of GAB’s group shows, sets by both The Fit and Dinosaurs ‘n Disasters, as well as the offerings to be found in the Ground Up Boutique, well, it makes for one helluva Second Saturday must-see.
